Bizarre events referred to as the "Return of the New Generation of Madness" take place, but their interest is quite debatable for the protagonist Miyashiro Takuru, the president of Hekiho Academy's Newspaper Club; instead, after failing to find a real scoop, he focuses on "real-life activities" and goes on to spend time with the rest of the cast. In Chaos;Child Love Chu☆Chu!! the story is affected by player choices: by regularly using the "Yes/No Trigger" system—in which they fill in "yes/no" questionnaires in the in-game magazine Cool Cat Press—the story branches depending on the player's answers.
