Princess Knights
Synopsis
Long ago, the land of Festack was saved from the evil god Gardes by the divine dragon Dimeter. Before his body vanished, Dimeter passed his soul into a human named Onberias, whose descendants became known as the Dragonkin. From them arose Granda, the Dragon Kingdom, once the greatest nation in Festack. Centuries later, the power of the Dragonkin had faded, and the five kingdoms of Festack stood nearly as equals. Then Arond zo Firnes rose in rebellion, conquered the desert kingdom of Sodia, founded the new nation of Lengalt, and turned his army against Granda. The age of Dragonkin rule seemed to have come to an end. The surviving prince of Granda was saved by his father’s final power and sent to Rejitta, a remote region far from the war. There, he was taken in by Claire and her grandfather Zeltov, and for three quiet years he tried to live as an ordinary boy, wanting nothing to do with war, destiny, or the fallen kingdom. That peace ends when he encounters Arnes, the “Black Panther of Caldona,” a warrior fighting against Lengalt. She recognizes him as the Dragon King’s heir and urges him to use his bloodline’s power to create “Knights,” women granted supernatural strength by the Dragonkin. The prince refuses, still believing the war has nothing to do with him. Soon after, Lengalt soldiers discover his hiding place. Zeltov is killed, Claire is threatened, and the prince’s dormant Dragonkin power awakens in rage. After a vision of his father calls on him to take up his destiny, Claire asks to become his first Knight so she can fight back against Lengalt and avenge her grandfather. Accepting that he can no longer run from the fate of the Dragonkin, the prince leaves Rejitta with Claire and sets out for Illude to find Arnes, gather allies, and challenge Firnes’s ambitions.
